Organza

Organza is a lightweight, sheer woven fabric made from silk, polyester, or nylon. It has a crisp structure that holds its shape without feeling heavy. Unlike chiffon, which drapes very softly, organza has a slight stiffness that makes it stand away from the body. This gives it a structured, floaty appearance ideal for dupattas, bridal wear, and occasion outfits. The semi-transparent quality adds a delicate, layered look when worn over colourful ethnic outfits.

Organza dupattas pair well with salwar kameez, Anarkali suits, lehengas, and sharara sets. The sheer fabric complements lighter outfits without overpowering them. Hand wash organza dupattas gently in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not scrub or wring. Squeeze gently to remove water and hang to dry in shade — avoid tumble drying. Iron on low heat on the reverse side. For embroidered or sequin organza dupattas, take extra care around the embellished areas — press with a thin pressing cloth between the iron and the embroidery. Dry cleaning is an option for heavily embellished pieces.
